Lana Del Rey has debuted the lead single from her new album, 'The Right Person Will Stay'.

She dropped 'Henry, Come On' on Friday, April 11. The 39-year-old co-wrote the song with American producer and songwriter Luke Laird.

Del Rey's 10th studio album was initially supposed to be in the country genre, but the project's lead single is more of a haunting goth song with a tinge of country.

"I mean, Henry, come on / Do you think I'd really choose it? /All this off and on / Henry, come on / I mean, baby, come on / Do you think I'd really lose it on ya? / If you did nothin' wrong / Henry, come on" she sings.

Del Rey first shared details about 'Henry, Come On' in a post about her new music in December last year.

"The Right Person Will Stay out May 21. So, grateful that my 13 tracks came together with my beautiful work between Luke, Jack, Zach and Drew Erickson amongst others. Happy for you to hear a few songs coming up before Stagecoach, starting with Henry. Love Always," she wrote on Instagram in November.

In an interview with Vogue Italia in October last year, Del Rey revealed that the direction of her album had changed slightly.

"Originally, me and the label were excited because the energy of the music of the album was meant to reflect my new life. Now, I'm not so sure, but I'm usually pretty good with my own timing," she said.

"I might turn it into something more 'Southern gothic', like it was meant to be from the start, and less country.”

Fans will have to wait and see how much country the album is when it is released next month.

For now, they're happy with the "hauntingly beautiful" vibes of 'Henry, Come On'.

"This is magical," a YouTuber wrote.

Another user added: "Lana was a siren in a previous life, I'm sure of it. A song that makes you feel melancholic for someone you don't even know, for feelings that may not even be your own, now that is truly powerful art."
