Long live AKA: ‘Mass Country’ certified platinum

AKA's family and fans are celebrating the success of the late star's album, ‘Mass Country’, which has now been certified platinum.
AKA's album 'Mass Country' has reached a milestone.
Just four months after release, the album has been certified platinum. This is according to a statement from Sony Music Entertainment Africa.
“It is with utmost pride that Sony Music Entertainment Africa awards a platinum plaque to the Forbes family and Vth season for the exceptional work and the streams that the album has received,” read a press release from Sony.
“To date, the 13-track album has seen massive success due to the support of the Megacy, digital partners and radio stations across the globe,” it added.
The family was invited to a private brunch by the recording company on Thursday.
AKA's girlfriend Nadia Nakai also celebrated the milestone.
"So prada you. Mass Country platinum status," she wrote on Instagram.
The rapper also announced that she is ready to release her first single since AKA's passing.
She shared a music video preview of the new single on Instagram, revealing that it was filmed in Zanzibar.
