Morgan Wallen and Post Malone reveal plans for new collab
Country star Morgan Wallen is lining up some big collaborations in the build up to the release of his new album.
Morgan Wallen has announced that he has a new song coming out with Post Malone.
'I Ain’t Comin’ Back' will be released on Good Friday, April 18.
This will be the second time the musicians have teamed up on a song. Their 2024 single, 'I Had Some Help', was a major hit.
It was the No. 1 song in the US for six non-consecutive weeks, earning it the second-longest-running No. 1 hit of 2024, behind 'Shaboozey's A Bar Song (Tipsy)'.
'I Had Some Help' also won several awards, including 'Song of the Year' at the People's Choice Country Awards.
It was also nominated for 'Best Country Song' at the Grammys.
The pair are hoping to repeat the success in 2025 with their new country song.
Wallen is gearing up for the release of his fourth studio album, 'I'm the Problem', out May 16.
So far, he has released five singles from the album, including 'Lies, Lies, Lies', 'Smile', and 'Love Somebody', which is currently #23 on the CTM Top 40 with Danny Painter.
Wallen has hinted that his upcoming album will feature a duet with a female musician. He teased the collab while responding to a fan on X.
"@MorganWallen, please, please, PLEASE confirm ‘What I Want’ is a duet. You haven’t yet sang with any female artists on any of your first three albums, so PLEASE tell me this is the case," the fan wrote.
Wallen replied: 'Indeed sir."
While some of his fans speculated the song would likely feature big country stars like Miranda Lambert or Megan Moroney, rumours have started to swirl that the duet will feature pop star Tate McRae.
McRae seemingly confirmed the collaboration when she shared a picture of an orange sports jersey featuring the initials MW on Instagram Stories.
The initials were styled the same way they appear in Wallen's fan merchandise.
Nothing has been made official, but McRae's social media post all but confirms the collaboration.
Wallen has yet to reveal the full tracklist for 'I'm the Problem'.
The album will feature a total of 37 songs.
