Morgan Wallen pours his heart out in 'I'm the Problem'
The title track of Morgan Wallen's upcoming album is an "absolute banger".
Morgan Wallen debuted a new single from his upcoming fourth studio album.
The album's title track, 'I'm the Problem', premiered on Friday, January 31. Wallen co-wrote the song with Ernest Keith Smith, Ryan Vojtesak, Grady Block and Jamie McLaughlin.
"The song seamlessly blends the metallic ring of keys, played by Dave Cohen, with the steady strum of the electric guitar, played by Tom Bukovac, and acoustic guitar, played by Bryan Sutton," a statement about the song reads.
Wallen pours his heart out in the introspective song. He sings:
I guess I'm the problem
And you're miss never do no wrong
If I'm so awful
Then why'd you stick around this long
And if it's the whiskey
Then why you keep on pullin' it off the shelf
You hate that when you look at me you halfway see yourself
And it got me thinkin'
If I'm the problem
You might be the reason
Wallen initially teased a snippet of the song in January 2024. He captioned the clip, 'I Guess,' which fans believed was the song's name.
The teaser clip sounds slightly different to the released version.
'I'm the Problem' is the fourth song released for the country star's new album. It follows 'Smile', 'Love Somebody' and 'Lies Lies Lies'.
All three songs were top 10 hits in America, with 'Love Somebody' peaking at #1. The track also features on the CTM Top 40 with Danny Painter and is currently at #7.
Wallen's fans have described his new song as an "absolute banger".
"Finally!!! It's even better than I had hoped for!" a YouTube user commented. A second person said: "Never quit making these songs Morgan. [We] country folk born in the 90s love the tunes, brother!"
Wallen's album still doesn't have a release date, but it is expected to drop sometime in 2025.
