Nomcebo Zikode and Zakes Bantwini celebrate Grammy nominations

Halala! Two South African stars have made it on to the Grammy nominations list for the first time.
Congratulations are in order for Nomcebo Zikode and Zakes Bantwini, who have just bagged their first Grammy nominations.
The two stars are competing in the global music performance category alongside another South African star, Wouter Kellerman. The three collaborated on the song, 'Bayethe'.
Other artists who are nominated in the same category are Burna Boy, Matt B, Aroof Aftab, Anoushka Shankar, and Rocky Dawuni.

Nomcebo took to Twitter to share her excitement.
The 'Jerusalema' hitmaker is currently in France after performing in the Bahamas.
"Just landed in Nice and found out that I’m now a Grammy nominated artist!," she wrote on Instagram.
Zakes also took to social media to celebrate his first Grammy nomination.
" I have a lot to be great full for, my collaboration with my lil bothers @kususaofficial and @argentodust on on our smash hit record “ASANDA”, my Grammy nomination with @wouterkellerman and @nomcebo_zikode on “Bayethe” and my collaboration with @glenmorangie. GOD is the greatest 🙏🏿, as my late mother kept telling me Zakhele Mntanam “dreams delayed are not dreams denied”," he wrote on Instagram.
Bonang Matheba was amongst those who congratulated the South African stars.
