'Smile' – Morgan Wallen releases inspiring new song
Morgan Wallen's new song has his fans in tears for all the right reasons.
Country star Morgan Wallen's latest single, 'Smile', has been praised for its rawness and inspiring nature. The singer released the song on New Year's Eve, followed shortly by the music video.
"It was good to see you smile/ Girl, you know it's been a while/ It was good to see you smile/ Even if it was just for the picture," Morgan sings in 'Smile'.
The 31-year-old's fans say the song has been a source of comfort, and one YouTuber said it gave her a sense of peace after a difficult day.
"Today was one of the hardest days I've ever faced, and it wasn't because of any single event... I wouldn't wish this feeling on my worst enemy. But then I heard this song, and it was as if it was placed in my path exactly when I needed it. It gave me peace and hope for a better tomorrow. Recently, my fiancé told me how much he misses my smile and my laugh, and how he wants me to find my peace again," the YouTuber commented.
A social media user noted that Morgan's last few singles tug at the heartstrings, with some suggesting that he seems to be going through a breakup.
"Morgan you've got me in tears this morning, for 2 reasons. 1. Because I can relate so much. And 2. Because there's so much heartache in your eyes, and your music," one woman wrote on YouTube.
Morgan Wallen's new album
'Smile' is the third song released from Morgan's upcoming album. Morgan premiered 'Love Somebody' and 'Lies Lies Lies' in 2024.
'Love Somebody' is currently #9 on the CTM Top 40 with Danny Painter.
Morgan is expected to release his fourth studio album in 2025. The music video for 'Smile' possibly contains a hint about the album's title.
Fans noted that the words 'Dark Til Daylight' feature several times in the video. Some also pointed out that a sheet of paper in the music video's dressing room scene also features the title and what could be his new album's tracklist.
Morgan has not confirmed a release date or title for his next album. However, fans hope he will share more information in the coming months.
In the meantime, they can look forward to seeing him in action at his Sand in My Boots music festival. The festival, which takes place in May, features artists like Post Malone
