Spotify announces the most streamed song of all time in South Africa

Congratulations to Kabza De Small and Mthunzi whose song 'Imithandazo' is the most streamed song of all time on South African Spotify.
The number one most streamed song of all time on South African Spotify has been revealed.
'Imithandazo' by Amapiano stars Kabza De Small and Mthunzi is the most streamed song of all time in South Africa on the streaming platform.
This was revealed by MDN News on X. The song surpassed 'Mnike' by Tyler ICU.

The music video of the song was released on December 22 on YouTube and it currently has 26-million views.
Shortly after the release, Kabza took to Instagram to celebrate the love the song has been receiving.
He shared a screenshot showing that the song received one-million views within five days of release. He captioned the post, 'Danko', which is a slang word for thank you.
The song carries a message of hope and it is a prayer.
The lyrics start by stating that things will get better and that you will succeed. Then it goes on to be a prayer asking God to hear and answer the prayers of those in need.
The music video was shot in a church and river with the singers dressed in priestly regalia.

The song also features Young Stunna, DJ Maphorisa, Sizwe Alakine, and UmthakathiKush.
The music video is currently trending on YouTube.
