Taylor Swift on LA fires: 'It's been heartbreaking to see'

The billionaire singer is digging into her pockets to help rebuild the City of Angels.

Taylor Swift is the latest high-profile celebrity to donate to fire relief efforts in Los Angeles.
The 'Anti-Hero' singer shared her thoughts in a post about the wildfires on her Instagram Stories. "The fires in California have devastated so many families, and it's been heartbreaking to see the stories unfold," she wrote.
Swift noted that there was "so much suffering, loss and destruction".
"As many people embark on some of the most challenging times of their lives, there are also many amazing organizations and groups banding together to help these communities rebuild," she continued.
The 35-year-old shared a list of charities she has donated to. "If you feel compelled or able to donate, please do."
Other celebrities who have contributed to various charities in LA include Beyoncé, Paris Hilton, Eva Longoria, Kylie Jenner, Leonardo DiCaprio, Jennifer Lopez, Meghan Markle, and Prince Harry.
"My heart goes out to everyone affected by the devastating Los Angeles wildfires. I can’t even imagine how deeply traumatic these events can be, especially for children who’ve lost their homes and sense of security," Lopez said on Instagram last week.

Several A-list musicians are also participating in a benefit concert to raise funds. The LA FireAid benefit concert will take place on January 30.
Billie Eilish, John Mayer, Katy Perry, Lady Gaga, Gwen Stefani, Sting, Green Day and the Red Hot Chili Peppers are some of the artists performing.
"Truly inspired by my community’s activism. So grateful to contribute in my own way," Perry said.
Green Day wrote, "Los Angeles, our hearts go out to everyone affected by the devastating fires."
