'Loving on Me' hitmaker Jack Harlow is not seeking hip-hop credibility. The rapper and singer drives home the message in his new song, 'Tranquility'.

The single was released on December 29, setting the tone for what is to come from the musician in the new year.

"I don't want nobody grilling me/ Y'all boys lame s**t killing me/ Need to be reintroduced to humility/ I ain't lookin' for no hip-hop credibility," he raps.

In another part of the song, he raps that the hate got to him, but he had to keep it together, and his best is still to come.

I’m proud of what we done, but I’m tryna be better though
Cause I don’t think I’ve really made nothing incredible
Lot of hard verses and a couple regrettable As far as big records go
Yeah I got a few of those
But I ain’t done nothing indisputable
 Maybe I’m delusional
I just left the old me’s funeral

The 'First Class' star also released a music video for the song on YouTube on December 30. It shows him walking on a street on a gloomy day while bundled up in a black coat, scarf, and beanie.

According to Billboard, the 26-year-old is seemingly responding to the hate he received for his performance of Elvis Presley’s 1961 hit single, 'Can’t Help Falling in Love', in part of the song.

Harlow covered the song during a show in his hometown, Louisville, in late November. The Louisville Orchestra backed him.

While his performance was heavily praised, some critics were shocked to see the rapper singing like a heartthrob crooner.

"[They] always use rap to get popping then go [to their] real genre," one critic wrote on X. Another user wrote: "Happens every time. S/O to @Eminem for actually being part of the culture."

The critics are not holding him back, and fans are looking forward to new music from the star in 2025.
