The Weeknd recently broke 'The Idol Vol. 1' soundtrack in June.
The soundtrack was for his TV drama series, 'The Idol', which first aired on Sunday, 4 June.
The controversial show was slammed by viewers, with some saying it is 'one of the worst programmes ever made'.
In May, The Weeknd announced that he is working on rebranding himself.
“It’s getting to a place and a time where I’m getting ready to close the Weeknd chapter. I’ll still make music, maybe as Abel, maybe as The Weeknd. But I still want to kill The Weeknd. And I will. Eventually. I’m definitely trying to shed that skin and be reborn," he told W Magazine.
