Five things you did not know about Seal
Olusegun Olumide Adeola Samuel, better known by his stage name Seal, is celebrating his birthday today. The Kiss From A Rose singer was famously married to Heidi Klum for many years, but even after years in the public eye, most of us know very little about Seal.
To get you up to speed, here are five things you probably didn’t know:
1. His roots are here in Africa. Seal’s mother is Nigerian, and his father Brazilian. He was born with the name Olusegun Olumide Adeola Samuel.
2. He grew up with a foster family in his youth.
3. He’s a smarty pants, and has an associate’s degree in architecture
4. His song, ‘When A Man is Wrong’ is written about his breakup with model Tyra Banks. Obviously models are his type!
5. Seal is quite the adventurer! In the 1980’s he toured Japan, Thailand and Ameica. First he joined British funk band Push, and toured with them in Japan. He joined a blues band in Thailand, then separated from the group and travelled throughout India alone.
