Jack Parow - Welcome to Parowdise
Updated | By Shayling Guy
The end of July heralds the dawn of a new chapter for musical mayhem legend Jack Parow. Parow will release his live DVD – Welcome to Parowdise. It is packed with live tunes, behind-the-scenes footage and all his music videos.
This Live DVD will bring you so close to Parow that you can smell his sweat.
According to Parow: “Welcome to Parowdise is a journey through the last four years of my dangerous life. From Russia to Holland, England to Elsiesrivier; it’s all in here. Backstage danger, onstage madness, planes to speedboats, drunk to drunker and all my crazy fans and friends mixed in live shows that were filmed at Oppikoppi, Hatfield Square and The Assembly; interviews in my bathrobe and all my music videos with subtitles. So enjoy it and check if you see yourself at a show. HOS JA!!”
Oppikoppi Bewilderbeast
Jack Parow will add ammunition to the formidable line-up at this year's Oppikoppi Bewilderbeast music festival. Oppikoppi's organisers usually allow popular acts to perform once every two years to avoid repetition but Oppikoppi has such a special place in Parow's heart that he placed a special request to rock the stage at Oppikoppi 2013. This year promises to be the biggest yet, with fellow Bellville alumni Fokofpolisiekar, celebrating their 10-year anniversary and massive US act, The Deftones, who are set to headline the music festival.
Parow explained that Oppikoppi isn't a concert or a "music festival" but an unstoppable cultural phenomenon. "They're the most hardcore, dedicated fans in the country. I just had to be a part of the madness this year,” he said.
If having Jack on your T.V. or live on stage isn't enough for you...Jack Parow in conjunction with his chommies, Dojo 115, Watkykjy, Cactus Jack, Puma, Ray-Ban and Rolling Stone have started to unleash the next-level comic book series, Jack Parow - Hier kom nou kak.
