Which artists will make a comeback in 2014?
Updated | By Charis Apelgren
In a perfect world our favourite bands and singers would release hit after hit continuously. However, whether it is some well deserved time off, an injury or perhaps other creative projects that they're involved in, they do need a break.
But everyone loves a comeback and 2014 is set to be the year that we fall in love with some of the greatest names in music all over again.
She may have one of the longest running number one albums in UK chart history, but we are longing to hear some new material from Adele and 2014 looks to be the right time. Grammy-winner Adele is rumoured to be working on her new album this year.
Still staying on UK territory, one of the most popular alternative girl bands we have seen in recent years, The Sugababes, are set to reunite.
Then there’s an artist who may have not really leave the scene. Rihanna, Ke$ha, Afrojack and David Guetta all had huge hits in 2013 and they can thank Sia for that. Sia has been penning hit songs for pop royalty and finally we get to hear more from her when she releases her album this year.
Her family dominated our TV screens, her sister launched her career and now Toni Braxton will be releasing her duet album with Babyface in February. It’s been a tough few years for Toni between her financial and health issues, but let's hope 2014 is her year for success.
Lilly Allen has invaded her way back into our playlists with her collaboration with Pink on True Love. She’s also been performing at a few small key events so lets hope that this means 2014 will be perfect for her.
Who do you think will own the music scene in 2014?
DJ Roxxi (Deshnie Govender) is a South African DJ, who gained recognition from 2006 onwards as the only Indian female club DJ in South Africa.
