BlackByrd stormed onto the South African music scene with the release of their debut album, Strong, by EMI in 2012.
In 2012, the SABC chose one of their songs, All Of Me, as the soundtrack for the TV channel's promotional commercial. It was aired extensively during Women’s Month of August 2012, and again during the Sixteen Days of Activism Campaign against the Abuse of Women and Children during November/December.
Their second hit single, I Feel Good Today, is the theme song of the SABC3 morning television show, Expresso.
Their third single, From the Bottom of my Heart, features vocalist Craig Hinds of Watershed.
