Chaos erupts at three DA run council meetings
Updated | By JacarandaFM News
The DA and ANC have different versions of yesterday's violence and firing of shots in the Nelson Mandela Bay Metro council meeting.
A councillor from both the DA and ANC were admitted to hospital.
Mayor Athol Trollip says both councillors were hit when ANC members threw objects.
The mayor's security guard fired shots into the ceiling, sending councillors scrambling out of the chamber.

The actions of the ANC are deplorable and uncharacteristic of a revolutionary and Democratic Party. It's criminal and intolerable pic.twitter.com/rVtnf30Rhz

There were also chaotic scenes at council meetings in Tshwane and Johannesburg yesterday.
In Johannesburg, two councillors were asked to leave the chamber, after the ANC accused the DA and EFF of co-running the city.
They, however, refused - singing and dancing until a 15 minute recess was called.
In Tshwane, chaos broke out after one of the council members objected to the presence of a camera in the chamber.
Accusations and insults were traded across the chamber floor, with the Speaker struggling to keep a lid on things.
