Judgement in Mcebo Dlamini bail application expected
Updated | By Silindelo Masikane
The Johannesburg Magistrates Court is expected to rule today, on the bail application of former Wits SRC president and #FeesMustFall leader, Mcebo Dlamini.

Dlamini was arrested in the early hours of Sunday morning and faces five charges, including assault, theft and malicious damage to property.
Protesting students have accused the police of targeting leaders and jailing them in order to stifle the movement.
Yesterday, Wits student leader Vuyani Pambo accused the magistrate of not taking the matter seriously.
Ahead of his court case, Dlamini told media that he was innocent of all charges and was glad he was the one being punished and not the other students.

The state prosecutor argued that Dlamini has shown a propensity for disobeying court orders and also misled the court when he said he had to write a test.
An affidavit by the investigating officer says footage shows Dlamini punching a police officer, in what seemed like an attempt to evade arrest.
