Pravin Gordhan summoned to Hawks office
Updated | By MornéJK
Treasury confirmed on Tuesday that Finance Minister Pravin Grodhan was summoned to present himself to the Hawks on Thursday morning.

This is believed to be in connection with the investigation into the so-called SARS rouge unit that was established under the leadership of Gordhan.
Markets reacted to the news immediately with the Rand plummeting with more than 3.5% following the news.
Meanwhile former SARS spokesperson, Adrian Lackay confirmed that he is not included in the group of former SARS officials, which include Minister Gordhan, ordered to report to the Hawks at 10 AM today.
But he has however confirmed to Jacaranda FM News that current SARS commissioner, Tom Moyane was the complainant in the matter.

While Lackay has not been contacted by the Hawks, reports suggests that four other SARS officials have been given the same correspondence.
