R2K protest outside SABC offices
Updated | By Jacaranda FM News
The Right to Know Campaign (R2K) will stage a picket outside the SABC offices in Johannesburg, Cape Town and Durban on Monday.

The public broadcaster has banned the broadcast of footage of violent protests.
R2K is now calling for the ban to be lifted.
Organiser Micah Reddy says R2K will not accept the public broadcaster being turned into a state mouthpiece.
"We've seen deepening censorship in recent months. We cannot accept this at our public broadcaster. We are calling for the removal of COO Hlaudi Motsoeneng," he said.
"His heavy-handed managerial style is undermining the public broadcaster and is a threat to its independence. The SABC is being turned into a propaganda arm of Luthuli House."
The public broadcaster had also banned the reading of newspaper headlines or discussing newspapers’ front pages on air.
It believes it gives free publicity to print media.
