University of Limpopo students take to the streets
Updated | By JacarandaFM News
Students were not attending class at the University of Limpopo's Turfloop Campus outside Polokwane on Wednesday after violence broke out on campus the previous day.
Three students were arrested last night, following violent clashes with security personnel.
The university's spokesperson, Kgalema Mohuba, said management still needs to decide on the way forward.
"We expected the students to have resumed classes as from 7.30am, but unfortunately there are no students. That means the academic programme has now been disrupted again," he said.

Meanwhile, a message has been doing the rounds, warning students that they will face serious consequences if they are seen going to class.
A LLB student told JacarandaFM News he was too scared to leave his room this morning.
"From the notice that we were given by management said today we should have been starting with our classes, but with the situation what it was yesterday, I don't think it would be wise for us to start with classes today. I'm scared of that," he said.
Protesting students are expected to meet at the Moshobane Square at 1.00pm to decide on a way forward in their demand for free higher education.
They said they will disrupt academic activities until tertiary education is free for all students.
