#ZumaMustFall: Zuma is not a leader
Updated | By Olivia Phalaetsile and Sune du Toit
The #ZumaMustFall campaign organisers say President Jacob
Zuma is not a leader.
Marches will be taking place across the country symbolising
the call for President Jacob Zuma to step
down during his State of the Nation Address
on Thursday.
Organiser Neziwe Manaka said they were marching to voice their dissatisfaction with the sitting president.
“We do not regard President Jacob Zuma as a leader, he is using the highest office in the country to enrich himself”, she said.
Manaka said they were not anti-ANC and they were separating Zuma from the party.
“We have a problem with one man, he has shown he doesn’t have any leadership skills and doesn’t care about the welfare of this country"
Manaka says the campaign was not affiliated to any political party and was financed by citizens.
Protesters will gather at the Green Market Square in Cape Town at 12:30.
In Pretoria there will be a sit-in at the South Grounds in front of the Union Buildings from 17:00.
Similar sit-ins will take place in Durban and Port Elizabeth.
