The Independent Electoral Commission (IEC) is warning against making early predictions of who will be victorious in the Local Government Elections.
75 percent of the national votes have been counted.
The ANC is in the lead with 53.59 percent, followed by the DA with 27.43 percent and the EFF with 7.42 percent.
The IEC's Mosotho Moepya says political parties have voiced their concern over several reports.
"The national party liaison committee called on all South Africans to also be responsible when it comes to reporting on unverified claims about this elections. Hoaxes and misinformation must not be allowed to undermine the confidence in the outcome of our elections. We are very grateful that everything continues to proceed well," he said.
