Seshego is a large township in the Polokwane Local Municipality of the Capricorn District Municipality in Limpopo.
The African National Congress took 78,65 percent of the 230,792 votes cast in the Polokwane Local Municipality in the 2011 Local Government Elections.
Seshego is the hometown of Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) leader Julius Malema and this year's municipal elections will see the EFF on the ballot paper for the first time.
