We predict a victory, we don't contest to lose: Malema
Updated | By Laila Majiet & Faith Daniels
EFF leader Julius Malema says the party expects a win at the polls on Wednesday.
Malema addressed the media at the national results operations centre in Tshwane on the eve of the local election.
Flanked by his top structure in the EFF command, Malema toured the IEC result centre.
A testament to his popularity, the enormous scrum from all and sundry to take pictures of the EFF leader.
Malema listened intently as IEC officials explained the enormous task that lies ahead when voting kicks off on Wednesday.
This election has been described as the most hotly contested since 1994.
"My prediction for the election is victory. We don't contest to lose," Malema said.
He also used the opportunity to take a jab at the ANC.
"The ANC is an organisation in crisis. The ANC is desperately wanting to win. They are prepared to spend and buy party agents of opposition parties," Malema said.
