Actor and radio personality arrested

Pretoria police have confirmed that a 32-year-old actor and radio presenter has been arrested for drunken driving.

The police's Daniel Mavimbela says the media personality was arrested during the early hours of Friday morning after he was spotted driving erratically.

"During our quest to create a safer environment, we arrested the man for driving under the influence of alcohol," Mavimbela says.

"During our quest to create a safer environment, we arrested the man for driving under the influence of alcohol," Mavimbela adds that the actor, who stars in a popular soapie, was arrested in the Pretoria CBD.

"He will appear in the Pretoria Magistrate's Court on Tuesday facing a charge of driving under the influence of alcohol," Mavimbela says.

The identity of the actor will only be made public after his first court appearance.
