Ariana Grande lookalike nails 'Wicked' impression
This Ariana Grande lookalike will make you do a double take.
If Ariana Grande ever needs a body double for a movie, then she might want to consider Paige Niemann, who is a dead ringer for the singer.
Paige recently shared a video of herself cosplaying as Glinda Upland, a character the singer plays in the musical fantasy film, 'Wicked'.
She dressed up as the star and lipsynced to a famous scene from the film.
"OK what?! The resemblance is scary accurate," one of Paige's followers commented.
Another person wrote, "Flawless execution."
Ariana is aware of her doppelgänger and contacted her in 2019 when she first went viral.
"She reached out to me. I was shocked. She's my idol so I was shaking a little bit… She said, 'Let me know if you're ever going to my 'Sweetener' Tour, we can grab a hug'... She wanted to let me know that I am beautiful in my own way and I said 'Thank you and thank you for being so kind to me.' And she said, 'I'm proud of you,'" Paige told Entertainment Tonight in an interview.
Despite her impressive impersonations, some people accused Paige of trying too hard to look like Ariana and of becoming obsessed with the singer over the years.
In 2023, Paige dyed her brunette hair to match the 'Yes, and?' hitmaker's platinum blonde locks. She also appears to have lost quite a bit of weight, so she can resemble Ariana even more.
"Don’t you get tired of being someone you’re not?" one person asked about her latest video.
"Please get your own personality and looks and stop copying Ariana Grande, it’s embarrassing," a second person commented.
Some came to her defence, saying that she was doing what any impersonator would do. "Like her or not, she’s the best Ariana impersonator."
Paige has also received criticism for venturing into the world of OnlyFans, a subscription-based platform favoured by adult content creators. Many of Ariana's fans called the move distasteful and disrespectful.
"She’s profiting off of Ari’s face and persona off her OnlyFans. That’s not okay."
Paige was recently banned from TikTok for two weeks for promoting her OnlyFans content. She has since returned to the video-sharing platform.
