Musician Aubrey O'Day has taken to social media to express relief after a New York federal judge denied Sean "Diddy" Combs bail after pleading not guilty in a sex-trafficking case.

The news about the ruling came out on Tuesday.

The judge ruled that Diddy remains in custody after he was arrested on Monday evening.

Diddy is accused of running a criminal enterprise from at least 2008 that relied on drugs and violence to force women to "fulfil his sexual desires", according to prosecutors, reports BBC

The publication adds that 'a 14-page indictment charges him with racketeering, sex trafficking by force, and transportation to engage in prostitution'.

Following the news, Aubrey, who has previously spoken about her negative experience working with Diddy for years, said the ruling was a victory for not just her, but all women.

On September 17, the singer tweeted: "The purpose of Justice is to provide an ending and allow us the space to create a new chapter."

She went on to say how she feels validated.

"Women never get this. I feel validated. Today is a win for women all over the world, not just me. Things are finally changing."
