Caitlyn Jenner has had a rocky relationship with her biological children, but her son, Brody Jenner, says they're in a much better place now.

When people think of Caitlyn Jenner, they often associate her with the Kardashian family. Caitlyn, then known as Bruce Jenner, was featured on the family's hit reality show, 'Keeping Up With the Kardashians'.

She was married to momager Kris Jenner. When they started dating, Kris had four children from her previous marriage, Kourtney, Kim, Khloe and Robert Kardashian.

Kris and Caitlyn have two children together, Kendall and Kylie Jenner. Caitlyn treated her stepchildren like her own, and many viewers were unaware she had other children.

Brody and his other siblings, Burt Jenner, Cassandra Marino and Brandon Jenner, didn't appear in the reality show when it started. They made appearances in later seasons but it was clear that they had a strained relationship with Caitlyn.

During a recent episode of 'Special Forces: World’s Toughest Test', Brody says they didn't have the best relationship with their dad growing up, who he says was never really around.

"I'd randomly see him – 'him' at the time – you know, here and there. But, mom would tell me that I would write on cards, 'Why doesn't dad call me on my birthday?'” he said, as reported by People.

Brody realises Caitlyn was going through her own struggles, especially while transitioning, but he finally got an apology.

"Just recently, I got a real, sincere apology. It was the first time in my life that I've ever gotten an apology. You know, I'm sorry for not being there, and honestly, it meant a lot.”

Brody is now a father. In 2023, he and his fiancée, professional surfer Tia Blanco, welcomed their first child, daughter Honey Raye Jenner.

While he has since mended his relationship with Caitlyn, Brody says becoming a dad changed his perspective on fatherhood.

"I think not having Bruce around growing up and her doing that transition, it was tough just being her son. I just had a beautiful little daughter. I'm not living for myself anymore. I'm living for her.”
