Drag artist RuPaul to receive star on Walk of Fame

Hollywood Chamber of Commerce announced a new group of entertainment professionals that will be receive the honor in the categories of Motion Pictures, Television, Live Theatre/Live Performance, Radio and Recording.

"These honorees were chosen from among hundreds of nominations to the committee at a meeting held in June and ratified by the Hollywood Chamber's Board of Directors," the custodians say on their website.

RuPaul is an American actor, drag queen, television personality, and singer/songwriter who has produced and hosted the reality competition series RuPaul's Drag Race since 2009.

He won a Primetime Emmy Award in 2016 for the reality series.
