Emma Grede, 42, spent her childhood collecting spare change to buy fashion magazines. Today, she's earning millions by helping one of America's most iconic families build and manage their businesses.

Grede is the founding partner and chief product officer of Kim Kardashian's shapewear brand Skims. She also founded the size-inclusive brand Good American with Khloé Kardashian.

As many of these ventures have flourished, Grede has secured a place alongside Kim Kardashian and Kris Jenner on Forbes' 2022 list of the wealthiest self-made women in the U.S. with an estimated net worth of $360 million, much of her fortune comes from her nearly 8% share in Skims, which was valued at $3.2 billion in January.

The rest of her wealth is tied to owning roughly 23% of Khloé Kardashian's denim fashion line, Good American, 22% of Safely, and smaller stakes in Frame and Brady, a company co-founded by her husband in partnership with NFL legend Tom Brady.

Though she's best known outside the fashion world as a guest judge on 'Shark Tank', Grede took the position to raise awareness for underfunded Black-owned businesses. She also serves as the chairwoman of the 15 Percent Pledge, a campaign launched after George Floyd's tragic death on May 2.

Today, Grede is seen as one of the world's leading female business leaders.
