A scandal, a flamboyant cat and roaring women are just some
of the shows guaranteed to warm up our Easter streaming platforms this year.
The Easter weekend brings a necessary break from the rush, time with loved ones, time to rest and also time out to catch up on your favourite streaming platforms.
Gerda de Sousa chats to TV Plus journalist Ipeleng Rakgantsho about which series to choose in this week’s episode of Streaming Now! ...
“Anatomy of a Scandal” has all the hallmarks of a gripping series that will leave you at the edge of your seat till the very end. It’s the tale of a powerful British politician who is accused of rape. This leads to the unravelling of his seemingly perfect life in politics and at home.
If you want to see what happens when unhappy women take back control, then make sure you press play for the 8-episode series, “Roar”. It tells the stories of eight women who take action after realising their dissatisfaction with their lives. Picture this: You order a man in a shop and when you are tired of him, you take him back………
For the little ones, there is the new interactive series, “Battle Kitty”, showing the battles of two best friends on a mission to help the flamboyant Kitty become a champion. Through their adventures, they teach kids not to worry about what they wear on the outside to become the best form of themselves.
And if it’s love you are after this week end – streaming will give you more than the Easter bunny. “Love is Blind” is back. This dating reality series follows a group of men and women who have 10 days to date each other, without ever seeing one another. Their chats take place in separate rooms, or “pods” and if they choose to, they can propose. Without ever seeing each other.
