Godfather Simon Cowell
Simon Cowell has insisted he would be thrilled if Louis Tomlinson asked him to be godfather to his unborn child.
The One Direction singer is set to become a father next year with stylist Briana Jungwirth following a brief fling and Simon - who put the boy band together on 'The X Factor' - would be happy to be involved in the child's life.
He told USA Today: "If he asks, I'll do it in a heartbeat. I haven't formally been asked yet, but if he asks me it would be my pleasure."
Simon's comments come after it was claimed that Louis had already chosen Simon for the job.
A source previously told HollywoodLife.com: "Louis has made his decision and it's 100 per cent Simon. He wants Simon to be his child's godfather. Simon has had such an influence on him and he says Simon is a brilliant person and a brilliant father. He would be so happy to have Simon as his baby's godfather. Simon has been so supportive of Louis ever since the news broke of the baby. He has made it clear that he is there for Louis if he has any questions or concerns about fatherhood."
Simon can no doubt offer Louis plenty of parenting advice, as he has a 20-month-old son, Eric, with partner Lauren Silverman.
