Jelly Roll sets major weight loss goal
After losing more than 50kg, Jelly Roll sets his sights on a new weight loss goal.
'Son of a Sinner' hitmaker Jelly Roll has opened up about his impressive weight loss journey.
The 40-year-old has lost a whopping 120 pounds (54kg) over the years, and he is not done yet.
"I wanna be on the cover of Men’s Health by March of 2026. That’s my new goal. I wanna have one of the biggest transformations," he revealed on the 'Dumb Blonde' podcast, which is hosted by his wife, Alyssa 'Bunnie XO' DeFord.
Alyssa told him that hearing his goal made her "giddy" because she was confident that he would achieve it.
"Let's go!" she said.
At his heaviest, Jelly Roll - whose real name is Jason Bradley DeFord, weighed 550 pounds (249kg). "I did this publicly for a reason. I wanna be honest about my struggles with it with people."
The country star wants to use his transformation to not only inspire others but end stigmas about weight loss.
"I think that people that become as big as I became, when they lose the weight, they’re kind of ashamed. They’re so ashamed that they go hide and lose the weight, and then they come back out and they don’t really know how to interact with the world looking different or feeling different. They kinda gotta find their whole new way," he said.

Jelly Roll is already breaking stereotypes with his fame and success.
"I wanted to lose it in front of everybody. I wanted to talk about it... This is constantly what I am putting in the air because I want to bring people along with me. What I want the world to know and I want the people to see is that I didn’t become successful because of my weight. I became successful in spite of it. I somehow managed to be this successful carrying 550 pounds."
Bunnie says it is "awesome" that people get to watch his transformation because it makes them feel like they are not alone.
"People need that right now because, in a world where there are so many surgeries, there’s a shot you can take... I wish I could take the shot, I can’t. It makes me sick. But there’s so much that you can do in the shadows. Instead, you’re just like, 'This is me. Here it is. This is my cross to bear, and will you help me carry it?'" she said.
