Jennifer Lawrence wanted to ask Seth Meyers out
Jennifer Lawrence has admitted she wanted to ask Seth Meyers out - but then found out he was engaged.
The 25-year-old "delusional" actress had a huge crush on the presenter - who is expecting his first child with wife Alexi Ashe - and convinced herself he'd want to date her when she hosted 'Saturday Night Live'.
She admitted to Seth on 'Late Night': "I had a really big crush on you.
"I had this plan, all week I was like, 'He's going to ask me out. He's totally going to ask me out.'
"I had created the romance in my head because I'm delusional. And so I was like, 'OK. You know what? I'm doing it. I'm doing it!' "
However, the 'Joy' star's plan hit a major hurdle hours before she planned to put it into action - she learned Seth, 41, was taken.
She recalled: "I'm getting a costume fitting and I had this whole plan, I was going to ask you out. And thank god I talked to the wardrobe lady and I was like, 'I think I'm going to ask Seth Meyers out. I'm going to give him my number.'
"And she was like, 'Honey, he's engaged.' "
And Seth isn't the only famous face Jennifer - who previously dated Nicholas Hoult and Chris Martin - has had her eye on.
She said: "I gave Larry David my number and he never called me.
"He never called me but he also might have been married. I don't know. Apparently I don't ask about these things!"
Though the 'Hunger Games' star insisted she's "so not that girl" to hit on a married man, she admitted she forgets to find out essential details about guys.
She said: "I always forget about step one: find out if he already has a woman. I get so carried away and already going into the delusion of 'Oh we're in love'.
"Oh my god, I'm like a predator.
"I'll accidentally hit on your husband, but I'm sorry I didn't know."
