Jo Black's first day of recovery

The singer's management team have asked that Jo's privacy be respected during this period of recovery.

After sharing that his operation had urgently been moved up to Sunday, Jo Black was flooded with messages of support - including some from fellow artists Juanita du Plessis, Karlien van Jaarsveld, Bouwer Bosch, and former Miss World, Rolene Strauss.

On Sunday afternoon, the 'Skepe' hitmaker's management team confirmed that his neck operation was 'successfully executed'.
In a heartwarming Facebook post, Jo's wife, Debbie Engebrecht, thanked all his fans for their tremendous support. "Our family is so privileged to have thousands of people supporting us. The love we are experiencing is overwhelming. Thank you," wrote Debbie.
