Tyla has been a hot topic on social media recently.

A few days ago, a video went viral showing her dancing with R&B superstar Usher to her hit single, 'Water'.

The two can be seen dancing nicely until Usher moves too close. Tyla then dances in a way that makes her move a little further from Usher. However, the two of them continue with their dance.

The video went viral, and Joe Budden was one of the people who weighed in on the video.

"Once you hit the stage and you are a performer and your song is on and a legend [Usher] is trying to highlight you, there is a way to do that - to do sh*t that she did. She did it in a way that looked real nasty, and I thought this before the VMAs," Budden said during his podcast.

His comment was not met well by his show members who said he sounded "dumb".

Afrobeats Central also shared a YouTube video where many praised Tyla for what she did.

Notice how she didn't let him get to close... Good Girl!

I love how Usher read her boundary and respected it even tho it was non verbal. She felt in control and comfortable. I say good job to them both for respecting each other as humans.

There's nothing more beuatiful than a woman/girl with boundaries  Go baby.

Tyla also trended for asking for help with holding her VMA award.

"Please, please, are you able to hold for me? Yes, thank you, I'm sorry," Tyla said to Lil Nas X who held the award for her.

Some people criticised Tyla, but Cardi B came to her defence.

"I just don't think you guys understand how heavy those awards are," Cardi B said on X.

"Y'all trying to make this into like, 'Oh, how rude is she to ask another female artist to hold her award like she's the help.' I love Halle [Bailey], but she didn't even ask Halle to hold the award; she asked Lil Nas X, a man, to hold it," Cardi B said.
