Justin Timberlake is recovering after his doctor told him to rest after suffering a back injury.

Justin was scheduled to perform at Oklahoma City’s Paycom Center on December 2. However, he took to his Instagram Story on Saturday to announce that he won't make it to the show.

“I’m so sorry Oklahoma CIty… I have to cancel the show on 12/2. I hurt my back in NOLA and my doctors have instructed me to rest a little bit longer," he announced.

The singer thanked his fans for their support.

"Thank you for your support – y’all know I hate doing this,” he wrote on November 30.

In October, Justin suffered a knee injury that caused him to cancel one of his 'Forget Tomorrow World Tour' shows at the last minute.

The show was scheduled for 8 October in New Jersey. "I'm so sorry to postpone tonight's show," he wrote in a statement on Instagram.

“I have an injury that is preventing me from performing,” he added.

The singer promised his fans that he would reschedule the show.

“I’m so disappointed to not see you all – but I’m working to reschedule ASAP. I promise to make it up to you and give you the show y’all deserve. Thank you for understanding. Appreciate your support always,” he wrote.

These are not the only two times that Justin had to cancel performances for his tour.

According to Billboard, this past weekend's cancellation was the eighth time the star postponed the show.

The tour launched in April.

The tour is to promote Justin's 'Everything I Thought It Was' album, which was released in March.

The album has 18 songs which feature hit singles such as 'Selfish' and 'Drown'.

The album debuted at No. 4 on the Billboard 200.
