Lana Del Rey talks mental health
Updated | By Poelano Malema
Lana Del Rey has opened up about balancing fame and her mental health.
Lana Del Rey has been in the public eye since 2012 when she released her debut album, 'Born To Die'.
Since then, she has had to deal with public scrutiny, leading to her deactivating her social media accounts.
She has also been a subject of social media bullying due to her weight.
In a recent interview with The Times, Lana says she has been on guard for so long.
Talking about balancing fame and mental health, Lana says she has learned not to put her 'faith' in the public.
“You really have to take care of yourself, because putting your faith in the public is like building your house in the sand. They’ll turn and turn,” Lana said.
“I’ve experienced that in all parts of my life.
"People reveal sides of themselves years after you meet, so you have to ground yourself all the way down to your knees."

In other news, Lana also spoke about her desire to someday have kids.
She says although it hasn't happened yet, she sees it coming.
“That’s why God didn’t give me children yet because there is more to explore," she told the publication.
"I know people who’ve tested every water. It’s burnt them, like Icarus. But I’m willing to go there.
“I see it coming for me. We’ll see. We’ll see what melts the wings."
