Keeping up with the Kandasamys has raked in more than R 10 million at the box office since opening weekend.
The movie tells the story of two South African Indian families who have no choice but to join forces as their children fall in love.
Matriarchal rivals of neighbouring families, whose young adult children become romantically involved - try despite their best efforts - to keep them apart with hilarious results.
"Keeping up with the Kandasamys would like to thank the media and public for their continuous support over the past 4 weeks. We are about to enter our 5th week and we have reached over R10 000 000 at box office with an attendance of nearly 190 000 people," producer Helena Spring says.
She adds that they are thrilled by the phenomenal connection audiences have had with this film.
"Cinema-goers have laughed, cried and claimed the story as their own and we deeply appreciate their support," says Spring.
