Lupita Nyong'o shines in SA

Oscar-winning actress Lupita Nyong'o attended the premiere of her latest offering, Queen Of Katwe, at Monte Casino on Wednesday night.
Members of the media, VIP guests, actors, producers and even the former first lady, Graca Machel attended the launch of the much anticipated Disney movie.
The movie tells the story of a Ugandan Chess prodigy and is based on the real lives of Phiona Mutesi and her mentor, Robert Katende.
Queen of Katwe is based on the vibrant true story of a young girl from the streets of Uganda whose world rapidly changes when she is introduced to the game of chess.

As a result of the support she receives from her family and community she is instilled with the confidence and determination she needs to pursue her dream of becoming an international chess champion.
Queen of Katwe opens in cinemas across South Africa on 14 October 2016.
