Madonna named Woman of the Year
Updated | By MornéJK
Madonna was named Billboard's Woman of the Year for 2016 and delivered a powerful speech on stage on Friday.
"I stand before you as a doormat. Oh, I mean, as a female entertainer," she said.
'Madge' continued, saying that as a woman in the entertainment industry, she had to play by a certain set of rules.
"If you're a girl, you have to play the game. You're allowed to be pretty and cute and sexy. But don't act too smart," she said.

In her speech she talked about her musical inspirations and the lesson she learned from her idol David Bowie.
"My real muse was David Bowie. He embodied male and female spirit and that suited me just fine," Madonna said.
