Madonna to pay tribute to Prince at Billboard Awards

Madonna is set to perform a musical tribute to the late singer Prince at the Billboard Music Awards in Las Vegas later this month.
The 'Living for Love' hitmaker is set to honour the late singer - who passed away last month at his Paisley Park estate in Minnesota at the age of just 57 - at the annual award ceremony, which takes place on Sunday May 22 in Las Vegas.
Other performers set to take to the stage include Justin Bieber, Fifth Harmony and Demi Lovato whilst audiences will also be treated to stage spectaculars by Shawn Mendes, Nick Jonas and Britney Spears. Celine Dion, who is set to receive the ICON Award at the event, will also be performing.
Meanwhile, it was previously revealed that the 57-year-old singer really wanted to go on tour with Prince.
Her manager Guy Oseary shared on Instagram: "I met Prince when I was 12 years old. I asked for his autograph. Many many years later I connected back with Prince.. And we have remained friends.. I called him a few years back with the idea of Madonna and Prince going on tour together. I pitched it to Madonna and within a second she said 'I like it, we can call it the Royalty Tour... The Queen and The Prince'. I love the way she thinks... When I told Prince the idea he said: 'the world isn't ready for this, it's too big'. I always felt like one day I would pull it off.(sic)"
Madonna was "devastated" to hear of the death of the 'Raspberry Beret' singer and praised him as a "true visionary".
Writing on social media soon after his death, she said: "He Changed The World!! A True Visionary. What a loss. I'm Devastated. This is Not A Love Song. (sic)"
