Matt Damon: It's all Jimmy Kimmel's fault
Updated | By MornéJK
The Academy of Performing Arts has apologised for the infamous Oscar mix-up, where La La Land was announced as the Academy Award winner for Best Picture instead of the actual winner Moonlight.

In a statement, The Academy says it "deeply regrets" the mistake.
"We apologize to the entire cast and crew of La La Land and Moonlight whose experience was profoundly altered by this error. We salute the tremendous grace they displayed under the circumstances. To all involved-including our presenters Warren Beatty and Faye Dunaway, the filmmakers, and our fans watching worldwide-we apologize."
They also say that auditing firm PricewaterhouseCoopers has taken full responsibility for the mishap and that they will determine what action needs to be taken.

Meanwhile, actor Matt Damon has jokingly blamed the blunder on the host of Hollywood's biggest night, Jimmy Kimmel, saying: "That's what they get for hiring Jimmy Kimmel".
Kimmel repeatedly poked fun at Damon during the ceremony and after the awards were handed out, Damon told Entertainment Weekly that he wasn't surprised at the mistake.
"I was the one person who wasn't surprised that it all got screwed up. That's what they get for hiring Jimmy. You know, they got what they paid for," the 46-year-old actor joked.
Best Actress winner, Emma Stone, has branded the incident as "one of the most horrible moments of my life."
