Maya Angelou dies at 86

It's a sad day for lovers of literature as it has been confirmed that American author and poet, Maya Angelou, has passed away.
Angelou was found dead in her North Carolina home by her caretaker. By the time 8:30 struck this morning, a hearse as well as a police car and ambulance could be seen outside her home.
The cause of the global icon's death has yet to be confirmed although sources close to the writer have mentioned that her health had been detoriorating at rapidly concerning levels in recent months.
The award-winning writer's best known for her series of autobiographies including 'I Know Why the Caged Bird Sings' written in 1969.
Below is her last Facebook post, which was posted yesterday:
"I'll probably be writing when the Lord says, 'Maya, Maya Angelou, it's time," read the author's interview with TIME from 2013. Even during her deteriorating state, Angelou still touched many with her words.
