Updated | By Poelano Malema
The Golden Heart Awards will honour Megan Thee Stallion for her charity work.
Megan Thee Stallion has been playing her part in ensuring that the world is a better place.
The rapper started her non-profit organisation in 2022.
She named it the Pete and Thomas Foundation — named after for her late parents.
The foundation was started to help fund charitable programs in Houston.
Some of the foundation's memorable work includes coordinating solutions for senior citizens affected by Hurricane Beryl to have access to power during natural disasters.
The Golden Heart Awards will be honouring the three-time Grammy winner at the prestigious ceremony on 21 October 2024.
It will be held at The Cathedral Church of Saint John the Divine.

Megan was one of the stars who performed at the 2024 MTV Video Music Awards, which took place earlier this week at the Ubs Arena in Elmont, New York.
The 29-year-old rapper performed a medley of her hits 'B.A.S.' and 'Hiss,'. She also collaborated with Japanese rapper Yuki Chiba on the song 'Mamushi'.
Megan also paid tribute to Britney Spears by re-creating the costume Britney wore during her iconic snake performance at the 2001 VMAs.
