Melinda Bam is engaged!

The gorgeous, Melinda Bam got engaged to long-time boyfriend, Adriaan Bergh.

 

Adriaan Bergh, a former Mr SA, and his golden-girl, Former Miss, SA, Melinda Bam are the perfect couple.

 

The two former beauty pageant title carriers got engaged in Dubai at the weekend after Melinda hinted, during an interview with Jacatainment, that she would LOVE an engagement ring for Christmas. 

 

Little did she know that Adriaan had it all planned out!

 

 

Melinda gave us a detailed account of how Adriaan proposed:

 

"Just like the first time he asked me out on top of the highest buildings rooftop on the tuks grounds (where he saw me first), he proposed on top of the Burj Khalifa, highest building in the world during one of the most picturesque sun sets. 

 

Adriaan was nervous because he wanted everything to be perfect and special as he had planned it. I was completely unaware and didn't expect it in the least. 

 

When we got to a secluded area watching the sunset, we talked about how no matter how high up we are on top of this building, or where we are in the world, we are on top of the world every day as long as we have each other, and in saying how we couldn't live without each other he got down on not one..but both knees(he he) and asked the big question. 

 

The most beautiful face and blue teary eyes I have ever seen. He says I started crying immediately but didn't even look at the ring once and only at him and nearly jumped on him!!! I think the best part is being able to say I will in fact spend the rest of my life with the love of my life and best friend. 

 

Afterwards, we sat on top of the Burj, and he prayed for our relationship and and watched one of the most majestic sunsets. 

 

Going down, we met with my dad and watched the fountains show on Whitney Houston's "always live you" and celebrated with an amazing dinner. This was undoubtedly the best and happiest day of our lives to date, but most certainly not the happiest we'll ever be. From here on...it only gets better!!!"

 

 

The two jetted off to Dubai for a 10-day holiday, but Adriaan had it all planned.

 

From the photo it is evident that Adriaan took Melinda to a romantic spot, and popped the question.

 

 

And look at that ring!! Diamonds are a girl's best friend!
