The actress believes that she still needs to put in the work and doesn't want a South African Film and Television Award, just yet.

Nomzamo Mbatha believes that she's not ready for a South African Film and Television Award (SAFTA). The Isibaya actress and TV presenter revealed this while addressing students at Nedbank's Talk for Success.
"I haven't been nominated for a SAFTA, and I don't want it... 'cause I don't feel like I'm ready. I don't feel like I'm deserving enough yet, I haven't worked for it yet," she told the audience.
She continued: "As many as the 'yes men' are, and even at home, even my friends, I do understand that I want to work hard for an honour. Because honour, just like respect, is earned. That's it.
You don't just wake up in the morning and people are like 'here, take that position... when you know very well, sometimes it's okay to say 'you know, give it to so and so, they've been here for five years, I'm not ready"

She added that right now she doesn't want a billion."I could use it, but I don't want it because I know that I'm not mentally ready to have a billion rands or billion dollars in my account."
We have no doubt that she will get that SAFTA one day.
