Their journey takes a tragic and unexpected turn when they are ambushed by poachers, leading to a battle to protect the rhinos and ultimately uncovering a devastating secret.

The nominees for the 97th Academy Awards were announced in Los Angeles on Thursday, announced by actor and comedians Rachel Sennott with Bowen Yang from the Academy's Samuel Goldwyn Theater.

The announcement was initially scheduled for the 17th of January, but was postponed due to the devastating and deadly Los Angeles fires.

Winners of the industry's highest honours and Hollywood's biggest night will be announced on the 2nd of March, with the ceremony hosted by comedian Conan O'Brien.

Minister of Sport, Arts and Culture Gayton McKenzie has welcomed the news with excitement, adding that it is a powerful tribute to the resilience of the country’s wildlife and the unwavering dedication of conservationists who work tirelessly to safeguard natural heritage

“We are confident that it will continue to make an impact on the global stage, and we eagerly await the Oscar ceremony on 2 March 2025, hopeful for yet another triumph,”

Your hard work and dedication have helped to elevate South African cinema to new heights and kept our country in the eye of the world. Let us all rally behind this incredible production and showcase our support for local brilliance”, McKenzie said.
