Oscar winner Jessica Chastain opens up about eating weird food to gain attention

You won't believe what Jessica Chastain used to eat to attract attention...
How far have you gone to gain attention?
For Jessica Chastain, the craziest thing she has ever done to try and gain attention was eating what many would view as weird food.
The actress told The Guardian that during her school days, she used to eat banana peels just to gain the attention of her fellow schoolmates.
"I was an obnoxious kid because I wasn't getting appropriate attention. I would do things like eat banana peels in the lunch rooms so kids would notice me," she told the publication.

She also revealed that she didn't do well in her studies.
"I had always thought that I wasn't an intelligent person because I did badly at school," she said.
But although she wasn't that great with academics, she developed a love for acting.
"There was a trip to the Oregon Shakespeare festival and I saw Marco Barricelli play Richard III. Something opened up inside me. It was the strangest thing, that I could be so moved. I had the hugest crush on that actor. I became obsessed with Shakespeare," she said.
She then went on to study acting and graduated from the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in 1998.
One of her first acting gigs came when she became a part of a stage production of 'Romeo and Juliet' in Mountain View, California.
Her acting career has been blossoming ever since then. In fact, in March, the actress won the 'Best Actress' Oscar for 'The Eyes of Tammy Faye’.
