PHOTOS: Fashion fabulous at the Durban July
Updated | By Charis Apelgren
The Vodacom Durban July took a dramatic turn on Saturday when a south-westerly wind started howling in the early afternoon, changing what had been a hot day almost instantly overcast and chilly.
Then outsider Wylie Hall was first over the finish line in the race itself, but an interference objection was raised and the outcome had to be decided in the stipendiary stewards' chamber. After an anxious wait, the objection was upheld and Legislate, who finished just behind Wylie Hall, was declared the winner with Wylie Hall second, and Futura, Tellina and In The Fast Lane filling the rest of the places.
Organisers say the drama on-track and the chilly wind did little to dampen the spirits of the punters, however, who kept the party going until late.
Below are photos of some of the best fashion from the day, plus all the Vodacom Durban July Fashion Experience winners.
