PICS: Marie Claire makes celeb men wear heels
Updated | By MornéJK jk
Men wearing heels is quite a sight, but when men wear heels for a cause the image gains more weight than it just being for comedic relief. SA’s women’s glossy magazine Marie Claire has issued a cool initiative ahead of Women’s month in August, entitled “In Her Shoes”, to honour all women.
You’ve probably seen the likes of Trevor Gumbi and Randall Abrahams posting pictures of themselves in suits wearing heels and wondered what that was all about…well, now you know.
To honour Women’s Month, the magazine invited 18 local celebrities to step up to the challenge because well… it takes a real man to stand up against gender-based violence and experience life in a woman’s shoes.
High profile celebs such as Gareth Cliff, Siv Ngesi, Maps Maponyane, and Jimmy Nevis have been photographed wearing high heels for the magazine's August edition.
Here are just some of the pictures we've seen thus far.
Maps really knows how to rock heels, he even did the leg crossing pose.
Looking good there, Janez!
This is a really great initiative by Marie Claire. Our only question is where did they get heel sizes that could fit these men?
